Hi! I am Sophia.

I am currently a senior at NC State majoring in Fashion & Textile
Management with a concentration in Product Development. After touring the Wilson College of Textiles, I knew NC State was where I was meant to be.

When I'm not busy with school or working on design projects, I enjoy attending concerts and traveling. I especially love when I can combine both. I have seen Harry Styles at Madison Square Garden, Midland at Red Rocks, and Taylor Swift in Nashville. I have even seen Greta Van Fleet four times. My favorite cities to visit are Charleston, SC and NYC. I am always creating during any down time — I am a big needlepointer. My recreational sport of choice is golf — I played competitively in high school and love to hit the course when a project or craft isn't calling.

From a young age I admired the glamorous fashion and costume design of Hollywood. Watching Audrey Hepburn’s wardrobe in the 1961 film, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” inspired and helped me realize my passion when I was 9 years old. My love of music, movies, and pop culture led me to designing my 1980s inspired Senior Showcase collection, Sophistication.
